WHO WE ARE
The YWCA of Elmira and the Twin Tiers has been serving our community for over 135 years. In 1914 the YWCA Elmira was established. Since then, YWCA of Elmira and the Twin Tiers programs, such as our before and after school programs, our youth programs, our Pink Boutique program, and our summer enrichment program have grown and evolved to meet community needs.

YWCA IS DEDICATED TO ELIMINATING RACISM, EMPOWERING WOMEN AND PROMOTING PEACE, JUSTICE, FREEDOM AND DIGNITY FOR ALL.
We have the collective strength to face the biggest challenges and work toward a more just and equitable society that benefits everyone.
We believe that impacting lives begins with understanding individual needs. We listen, we learn and we respond.
We are the oldest and largest multiracial women's organization in the world. We have always been - and will always continue to be - leaders for racial justice and women's empowerment.
OUR YOUTH
We are the largest child care provider in Chemung County, offering quality care for pre-school through 6th grade. Our Kids World & Summer Enrichment programs serve over 700 children daily in our before- and after-school programs, as well as holidays at multiple sites.

PINK BOUTIQUE
The Pink Boutique provides support including breast health information and allows women to purchase bras, prosthetics, wigs and offers post-surgery garments in a local shop. The Pink Boutique continues to provide critical breast health care to area women irrespective of income, ethnicity or race.

OUR HISTORY
Throughout our history, the YWCA has stood for service excellence and was the first organization to support women, children and families, through the promotion of peace, the elimination of racism, advocacy, education and self-empowerment.
YWCA of Elmira & The Twin Tiers provides an array of services to individuals and families including, but not limited to, minorities, the working poor, all ages and those needing critical services through key areas that include Child Care, Youth Leadership, Breast Health, Fitness, and Recreation and Social Justice.
